Matilda is a fantastic story written by Roald Dahl. It is about a girl named Matilda. This is an inspirational book to read. The writer has used many hilarious similes and metaphors that develop dramatic and imaginative scenes in the mind of the readers. This successfully keeps me interested in reading this book. The setting of this story is at Matilda's home and school. Within the familiar settings, the writer takes us into the world of Matilda and sees how she uses her intellect and marvelous power to teach the adults’ lessons in her life. In this book, Matilda is a brilliant child who loves reading a lot. However, her ignorant parents do not like her and only regard her as a nuisance. They always yell at her, call her bad names and forbid her from reading books. “What’s wrong with the telly, for heaven’s sake? We've got a lovely telly with a twelve-inch screen and now you come asking for a book!” Matilda’s father says. They insist that Matilda should watch more TV than reading books. As Matilda’s parents keep insulting her, she plays tricks on her parents such as putting glue on her father's hat. Later, when Matilda attends school, she meets a mean headmistress named Ms. Trunchbull. The story goes on and things happen. However, I am not going to say much more and give away the ending. If you want to know how Matilda uses her superpowers to make her life better, you can visit the library and enjoy reading it yourself.

I'm FishThis is a great story! It has a happy ending and I want to recommened students, especially students in P.5,P.6 and F.1. I hope everyone will enjoy this book! After reading this book, I have learnt a lot from Matilda. The story tries to tell me if someone is not being nice to me, I should still be nice to others. I really love this book. When I was reading it, I nearly go into another world. Things would break or move and she was making it all happen with her mind.
